Hi guys
i am using dc-dc converter circuit with IC TPS54361 of TI
power supply input 12v 5A
ouput 3.3V 2A
- i use altium for circuit design
with 12V 5A input, what line width should I choose with +12V 5A anode

A buck converter is a power converter. Higher input voltage means lower input current.
With 3.3volt/2A (6.6watt) used, the input will only draw 6.6/12= 0.55Amp.
Well, a little bit more because of losses. So about 0.6 to 0.7Amp.
There are online circuitboard trace width calculators, like this one.
1oz copper, external layer, 2Amp (3.3volt side), about 30.8mil minimum.
Same for 0.7Amp (12volt side), about 7.23mil minimum.
Leo..
Does Altium not have such a calculator built in ?
At the price that they charge it certainly ought to
