choosing a good motor

hi all can you help me pls to choose a good motor for my project ...
i need a motor who can push 200 -300 kg

thnks

Directly?
Via gearing?
Via a lead screw?
Vertically?

"Push" ? In what direction and at what speed? Details of the project might help.

Hint: motors don't push, they turn.

It's said that a fly beating its wings will eventually move a sea-going liner.
Unless you clearly specify the desired speed of movement and the forces of friction or gravity acting, it's impossible to answer your question with respect to motor rating. After that you need to specify operating voltage and frequency (DC or AC, brushed or brushless) in order that a suitable motor may be identified.

Start by measuring the force required to move the object and tell us what you find.
