Circuit and code works in simulation but not doing anything when done it real life

There is an exeception to this, you can get them which have internal LiPo cells and are actually 7.4V not 9V. These are able to handle high currents.

However most servos want a max of 6V anyway. Budget 1A per servo for the small ones, proportionately more for high torque versions. Newcomers seem to always underestimate the power requirements of servos and motors.
