Clapping to open and close curtains

Hello, I want to make my curtains automated so that they open and close if I clap. They are about 2.5 meters in width, 2 meters high, light material so the load won't be a problem. There are no strings to open or close the curtains, so I ll probably have to add that somehow.

I wanted to ask:
-How feasible is the clapping sensing, what type of sensor should I use?
-What type of motor would be best suitable?
-Any suggestions for the mechanism used to attach the motors to the string/rope that I'll add or is there a better alternative.

Knock-knock sketches have been implemented before. Also, "clap-clap" designs. Try Advanced search on "clapper"

Decide on the motor after you design the draw-rails.
I get lots of results from Advance search on "curtains"... Perhaps you will, too.
