[Closed] 5 Year Arduino user/dev struggling with STM32 - ANY help appreciated!!

Hey everyone,

I have been playing with Arduino (MEGA / DUE) for about 5 years now, I like to think I am moderately intelligent and competent but I recently got a STM32F7-Discovery and I am stumped. I cannot do anything other than compile and upload the examples included in the firmware folder. Just to confirm, I am not a copy/past code Arduino user.......... I can /do actually write my own code. But this STM32 is over my head at this point :(.

Can anybody please offer any hints/tips or links to any getting started kind of material please?

Even if as a start point you could tell me how to get the equivalent of Serial.println() and a serial monitor kind of arrangement? I have a terminal program.

I can see how powerful this board is from the demo's but I would like to be able to program it myself and that is where I am struggling!

I have trawled youtube, but there really is not much of any use on there.

I have access to the online mbed thing, Keil uVision 5 and System Workbench for STM32, but the only one I have had any success with so far is Keil.....

I am looking for any kind of advice or recommendations that might help me along, no matter how trivial or significant!

Thanks in advance.

Regards,

Graham

Thanks for all the help, but I found a decent site which I think will help. http://stm32f4-discovery.com/category/stm32f7-discovery/.
