Cloud logging services - similar to Xively?

Hi all,

Its been a good few years since I did a project like this, but I would like to monitor and log some data online - temperatures to start with.

I used to use xively, but I have just tried to log in and can't. It now looks like its aimed at enterprise now?

What other services are out there for Arduino?

Cheers

Adafruit has one that's free or cheap - looks like they don't keep your data very long though. Grafana has a free tier too. I'm sure that there are plenty of others.

The Adafruit freebie stores for 30 days. I can't remember how long Xively did as three or four days was plenty for me. It is always a good idea to store the data locally anyway.

xively was perfect for me, I'm so gutted it has gone :frowning:

the adafruit setup looks interesting, I have also found thingspeak. Google is mainly bringing up old posts so it's not helping me find many other options.

I'm not so worried about data storage - most of what I want to do is realtime/short-term monitoring.

Any others worth checking out guys?

I'm a big fan of thingspeak, very generous free tier so long as you can live with the 15 second update limit.

Theres a bunch of other sites listed at https://alternativeto.net/software/xively/

This one seems interesting but I've not used it https://iotplotter.com/

The big thing for me about xively was that it had 10 sec updates. I have given up on finding one to match that.

https://io.adafruit.com/ free tier offers 2 second updates but only 30 day retention.

And there's me suggesting the Adafruit, but I had no idea it updated at that rate.
