Hello, I have Arduino uno cnc shield ver 3 and I use dr8825 driver.
I have an old printer Stepper motor KV4239-T3B 24v.
When everything is connected, the motor only vibrates but does not rotate. could it be that there is not enough power? I use 20v 3a
And if I try to use 24v, will I damage my arduino uno,or is it safe??
Many of the shields are good up to 24 volts
Some are good to even higher voltages. 36 / 48 volt.
A link to where you got the shield would be useful ?
Run 24 volts here on all my shield's atop Arduino UNO's
The amps might be a little low for your supply but without knowing how you want to apply the stepper it is hard to say exactly.
The devil is in the detail as they say.
