Code and Board Power Problem

Hi,

I am writing simple code for a single channel ohmmeter, and I am actually incurring a problem. There is a variable called "raw" in my code which basically represents the amount of power being supplied to the board. My board receives power through a USB connection; however, a wire needs to be connected into a certain pin on the board in order to actually use that power.

My code for the ohmmeter wasn't working, so I decided to view the value of the raw variable both when I had connected that wire into the pin and when I disconnected that wire, and in the serial monitor, the variable, "raw," displayed the same value.

Can you guys please help me as I am confused about why that variable is returning a value even when no power is actually being supplied to the board?

Thanks!

Post code that reproduces your problem.

Post a schematic of your connections.
