Code to blink an led to represent a number

Hi,
I am new to the forum but am familiar with coding. I am working on a project to store a devices usage qty in eeprom. the idea is once a button is held for a certain amount of time (10seonds) the stored qty in the eeprom will be converted to a number of blinks. For example: if the number 525 is in eeprom I would like the LED to blink 5 times pause 2 times pause then 5 times pause . I was trying to avoid doing this with a bunch of loops that compared the number to eventually get it down to its ones, tens and hundreds place. Any input or reference to a library or other code snippet that does this already would be helpful.

Thanks,

You first need to break the number to be displayed into digits. Example:

int number = 25;
int digits = number%10;  //get the 5

Example to blink an LED n times:

for (byte i = 0; i<n; i++) {
digitalWrite(LED, HIGH);
delay(100);
digitalWrite(LED,LOW);
delay(100);
}
