Haha, this was like something I was looking for.
A 250 ms postponed single click because you waiting around to see if was really a double click is intolerable.
If there is enough time to make a nice press and release of a button and then have a noticeable delay before any reaction, the system will feel sluggish.
You can’t shorten the 250 ms without making double clicking more challenging.
As for whether this applies in Arduino-land or not is not the question. It’s that 250 ms delay that really is just wrong bad and intolerable.
