Codes not getting dumped

HI -

There is problem with dumping, getting the following messages, could it be resolved?

Thanks

Arduino: 1.8.5 (Windows 8), Board: "Arduino Nano, ATmega328P"

Sketch uses 4248 bytes (13%) of program storage space. Maximum is 30720 bytes.
Global variables use 475 bytes (23%) of dynamic memory, leaving 1573 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2048 bytes.

Problem uploading to board. See http://www.arduino.cc/en/Guide/Troubleshooting#upload for suggestions.

This report would have more information with
"Show verbose output during compilation"
option enabled in File -> Preferences.

That's not dumping, that's uploading.

But the usual:

  • Did you select the right COM port?
  • Did it work before?
  • Did you install the drivers?
  • Is it a real Arduino or a clone? (eBay, Ali, Amazon are 99% clones)

If it's a new original Nano (not clone), you need to update the board manager to version 1.6.21.
