I have acquired a Clearpath sdsk servo motor from Tekniks and I need some advice on coding it. I am using an arduino uno board and Im using pins 8, 9, 6, and 4 for the motor. 8 being direction pin, 9 step pin, 6 enable pin, and 4 HLFB pin. I have tried a couple codes that I found online and modified it to create a sine wave but the motor either stutters or doesnt move at all. I have tried using the actaual sine wave equation to generate a position and having the motor to move to that position but it never seems to work. Do yall have any other ideas?
Just to clarify: are you trying to send sine waves to the SDSK? If so, it won't like it. it wants square waves. Treat it like a stepper motor. Just send a pulse train.
or, are you trying to make the motor make a sine wave ? (how would you make a single motor make a sine wave?)
or something else?
Make sure of the motor's configuration too. via the Clearpath MSP software-connected directly via USB cable. There are different modes that can be selected, and wiring schemes.
