Color sensor TO5

Hi,

I´ve bought a color sensor, https://www.elfa.se/elfa3~se_sv/elfa/init.do?item=75-444-13&toc=20402, and I´m now trying to connect it to my Arduino Duemilanova. I´m feeding it with 5V and I understand I somehow need to transform the photo current into a suitable voltage to be able to use it. I can't find any data about the size of the current... What is the best way to convert the current to voltage?

I´m feeding it with 5V

Where?
Please don't. Hope you haven't damaged it.

What is the best way to convert the current to voltage

Simplest is making it flow through a resistor.
However page 7 of the data sheet shows it being fed into three op amps. I would go with that.

5V into the common cathode, should I stop doing that?

Yes. the data sheet says:-
Maximum Ratings
Reverse voltage 2.5V

Ok, no I notcie I´ve actually got another product than I ordered. I´ve got TO5 instead of TO39. The data sheet that came with the sensor says "Reverse Voltage VR 0...5V". It still seems to work ok.

Will look into op amps.

Thanks!
