COM Drivers shutting down Wifi?!

I was trying to install the FDTI drivers last night so the Arduino gui would show COM4. Around that same time my one laptop no longer recognized my wifi. Windows 7 is telling me "DNS not responding." However, I have 4 other devices connected to the router and are working, I rebooted the router, I also called my ISP to be safe and they verified all is good. On the laptop in question I have flushed the dns and restored it, and still nothing.

Is this wifi issue related to the drivers or just coincidental?

Thank you for your help.

No responding to WiFi and DNS not resolving are two completely different problems.

There isn't even a small chance that drivers that create a serial port changed your DNS settings in the TCP/IP control panel.

Thanks James. Your response that there isn't even a small chance makes me extremely happy. Means I didn't break the machine :)

Granted, now I need to find the real issue on this machine.
