I made the very stupid mistake of allowing Windows to automatically install drivers (it's a shared computer and I did not realize someone had it set to always do this.)
In device manager, I thought I uninstalled all the drivers that might have been added. However, now I get COM port interference, which I suspect is related to some driver I missed.
Does anybody know the several drivers windows would have installed or else how I could find out.
If this is not the cause for the interference I am stumped cause I tried disabling all the drivers under COM.
Well if anybody has advice I would really appreciate it. Thanks.
then right click on my computer, and click on properties
Now depending on your OS.
Vista:
Click on Device Manager
XP:
click on the hardware tab, then click on device manager
once you are there, expand the ports and right click on COM Port or what ever it is called, and click update driver
Click on "Yes this time only", and hit next.
Now click on "Install from a specific location", and hit next
Now click on "Include this loaction to search", and hit browse
Browse to the location where you downloaded the 0015 IDE, and let it search, by clicking next, and that should do it
