COM ports not closing

I don't know if i have this problem since 1.6.7 or 1.6.8 or when it started because i did allot of testing and changing things the last days.

But i did not have this problem before.
Now every time i want to upload i have to unplug and replug the FTDI/USB adaper or other Arduinos with build in USB.

avrdude: ser_open(): can't open device "\\.\COM11": Access is denied.

If i want to open the serial monitor:

Error opening serial port 'COM11'. (Port busy)

So it seems like the IDE is not closing the com ports anymore.
I have this problem on Win8.1 and Win10...
With FT232RL and CP2102...

How can i figure out what the problem is?

Ok its 1.6.8.
I'm not the only one with the port problems as others reported in another forum.

Ya. 1.6.5r5 is the last good release. The past three releases should not have gone out the door - they still haven't fixed what I would call showstoppers from 1.6.6 relating to the new build process....
