I just installed arduino in my laptop I notice that default uno port did not show up

Not really enough information to give much more than a couple of guesses.
bad cable, cable not fully inserted, its a clone and the drivers are not yet installed, you are using usb 3.0, You are using an odd distro of linux, you are using a mac and havent set things up properly yet.
