common ground of multiple power sources

Hello,

I use multiple power sources in my project.

  • USB for the arduino board
  • 4.8 V power for a few servo's
  • 3.3 V for a serial camera module

Should I connect all the grounds together?

Yes indeed. :slight_smile:

All grounds essentially go to the same place, ground...

If you are using a battery then unless you want multiple batteries then everything goes back to the battery eventually.

There are some obscure times when you would not connect all of the grounds together but most of the time all grounds go to the same ground!
