following http://arduino.cc/playground/Interfacing/Cocoa I managed to get my Cocoa Application to talk to my Arduino UNO via popen. However there are two downsides to it: 1) I have to open a connection to the Arduino via the Arduino IDE serial monitor first. If I skip that part, the transfer just "isn't happening" (rx LED is not blinking) 2) The popen command is limited to 9600Baud. This just isn't fast enough.
So I tried the IOKit example but that won't even compile on my 64bit Lion iMac: The scheme 'Arduino Serial Example' contains no buildables that can be built for the SDKs supported by the run destination My Mac 64-bit. Make sure your targets all specify SDKs that are supported by this version of Xcode.
Any ideas how I can send commandos to by Arduino (=one way communication only) with higher baud rates? Thanks!
