Comparator output for arduino

Hello Everyone

I am using a simple comparator circuit which is producing digital pulses which I have to give to digital pin of arduino but there is some problem with my comparator as it is giving me pulses which goes in negative range as well and also the positive peak voltages are around 7 to 8 volts so I want to know that whether I can apply such a signal to arduino digital pin as I am new to arduino so I don't know about that.

Yes you can, but you will fry the pin.

as it is giving me pulses which goes in negative range as well

So what comparator and how are you powering it? Only if you have a negative rail or some AC coupling can you get this and you want neither.
