Compatible chain of neopixels???

Hey everyone,

this might be a silly question but I'm gonna ask anyway -

I'm running a chain of WS2812 neopixels and wanted to continue with a chain of these..they use the same chip but when I attached it to the chain it didnt work? --LED - RGB Addressable, PTH, 5mm Clear (5 Pack) - COM-12999 - SparkFun Electronics

are these just not compatible even though they're both working on the same chip and are a single data line?

If both are WS2812, then more than likely there is some kind of wiring error. Or your code is not sending out enough data?

Ok great thanks. I'll have another try and see if i can get it to work.

So, it was a wiring error, I've attached it to the strip of neopixels and now its just on and blue and wont do anything else?
