I might add, no other information is given, verbose or otherwise. Error persists as of 9:00am Eastern time, 2018-06-14.
Any help is appreciated.
Same here 15:00h CEST
same thing here too.... it's 1:30pm EST

Same error for me at 1:00 PST. When is this getting fixed?

Having the same issue
Same problem in here. 6:53 am 6/17/2018
having same issue
sames
is it working now? I can't reproduce. What board are you using?
Same problem.
First timer.
Trying to run the blink example and getting a compilation failed message.
Using Arduino Nano on the WEB editor.
How can I solve it?
Thanks!!
Arduino UNO, out of box, just installed drivers (and the board registers in the web app.)
Same error, on chrome, latest version.
Attempting to compile the example blink program.
Bit disapointing as I've spent 100$ on a kit that is useless without the editor. Don't have windows 10 for desktop.
Could you please share the sketch links?
Hi... Still not working.
In reference to your question smellai, it doesn't matter what script. I've just tried it on Blink, with the UNO as the reference board and it fails to compile with the same error.
Thought maybe it was something I had done. In the process of trying to get one of my scripts to run, I've been messing with the library elements. An LCD library, which works perfectly on my Windows IDE fails in the Web IDE, so I had tried to delete a library and replace it with one that I know works. Not sure if the problems related, but that's what I was up to when it broke.
Having given up trying to get 'my' environment working, I created a brand new web account on an Ubuntu virtual machine I use for a few things. With a fresh account under a different name, I thought that would do the trick. Straight out of the gate I tried Blink on this alternative account and it broke in the same way.
Hope that more verbose background helps solve the issue.
Thanks
Same issue here. 10:56 GMT-3
I just tried compiling the default blank script (ie: setup() and loop() ) with the arduino micro board and other boards, btw...
same problem... unable to compile, no other error messages
is this gonna get fixed soon?
