The separator in a float is called a decimal POINT, not a decimal COMMA.

Difficult if you come from a country where a comma is used  In a number of countries, $1.000,00 means thousand dollars and zero cents.

In a number of countries, $1.000,00 means thousand dollars and zero cents.
