First off, apologies if this isn't the right forum. I'm not quite sure where to put this because like the title says... I'm a complete beginner. To coding, to Arduino, all that fun stuff.
Except it hasn't been so fun- I've spent the better part of 5 hours today trying to get my small (6 LEDs) strip to do what I thought would be very simple: a rainbow cycle only in red.
What I'm using:
Adafruit RGB 30 LED strip
Adafruit Trinket M0
Arduino IDE (presumably latest version, I literally downloaded it today)
What I've tried:
Kamui Cosplay OLD Strandtest for the Adafruit NeoPixel library
Current Adafruit NeoPixel library strandtest
What feels like a thousand other tutorials, code-generating sites, libraries, etc. to try and get a red rainbow cycle.
I don't want to just come out and ask if someone would be willing to write this for me, but I certainly wouldn't say no to it either because I'm honestly at the end of my rope right now. I'm making several different LED-accented props for my band's upcoming music video and they'll all use the same red rainbow cycle so I just need to get this sorted once.
Please help! (I am receiving not so much error messages, but it seems like the M0 times out because either the board 'can't be found on the port selected' or the CPU 'resets'.
I hope this is specific enough to get some answers- if not I'll try and revisit this when I'm a little less frustrated and braindead from repeated failures.
