I have never built anything like this myself, but I'm hoping someone can help guide me in the right direction. I am building a little mini lathe as a display piece, but want it to have some function. The lathe will be made out of 3d printed parts.
Here is what i need im trying to accomplish:
I need 2x DC motor that runs off 6v or less. Spins approx 200rpm, and i want to be able to flip a switch to reverse the direction of it.
I need 2x DC motors (6v or less) that can spin up to 200 rpms, but the speed can be controlled with a twist knob.
I want to hook up all the motors to one board (not even sure where to start here) and have switches that control each motor.
Sorry for the inexperience, but I would appreciate any help. Please ask any questions and i will try my best to answer.
You need a center-off switch so you can STOP the motor before you revers the direction! Speed can be controlled with a wire-wound potentiometer in series with the motor power supply. No need for any Arduino for this project!
If you have a better motor in mind that is equivalent, i would happily take that advice too.
As for what i want to build..
I will have 4 of these motors total. 2 of them i need to be able to control the speed with two separate twist knobs. The other two i would like separate switches that control the direction of the rotation.
