The web editor told me to report my compilation failed. Not doing anything different than yesterday, playing around with the Fastled library examples.
Just going to point you HERE first.
So much information missing for an answer.
My experience in the note below may be relevant to the FlightSimWiz question.
Yesterday I had the same problem with several examples and you directed me to use the IDE I used V1.8.4 and had no problem with compiling on the desktop IDE. I'm using Windows 7, a Dell XPS laptop and a USB2 connection with proven cables. Your advice was greatly appreciated.
I may have given the impression there was a problem with only one example, but in fact there were 43 other examples assigned to the Genuino 101 that would not compile. I suspect several of these may have been incorrectly assigned to the Genuino list or are due to be retired. If you would like the list I can provide it. Hopefully the Madgwick Visualiser software will be rendered compilable on the web editor again as it is such an iconic and useful example for the Genuino 101.
Many thanks for your advice and the terrific Arduino software and support.

Can you provide links etc to those specific 43 101 board examples as clearly they need checking if there is an issue. (just a few will do LOL)
I do know they are looking at the madgwick example almost as we speak.
I managed to create a couple of issues with that example on my test rigs.
Its not so much me helping its people like yourself taking the time to follow up as that then helps others.
The HMC5883L examples and the Madgwick Visualiser program are compiling and uploading fine now on the web editor and so is the sketch that I wrote based on Madgwick which includes the Curie BLE library. I haven't tested their functionality as that takes a bit of time but the basic compilation problem looks as if its been fixed.
Some of the other examples that were affected (but may now be fixed) include:
All three examples in Arduino Cloud;
Most of the examples in BLE Peripheral including all five examples in the subdirectory HD and twelve others
The two examples in HMC5883L (these are now compiling correctly);
The six examples in HD;
The six examples in WifiLink but I think this may have been erroneously included in the Genuino 101 list;
There were also six in the WifiLink subdirectory Tools but this seems to have been reduced to one now;
Two examples in Firmata i) AllInputsFirmata ii) StandardFirmataWifi;
Madgwick Visualiser 101 (Now compiling correctly)
I suspect that the root cause of the problem may have been common to all of them except the ones that are due to retire or were not really applicable to the Genuino 101.
Hope this helps, thanks Peter
