Comprehensive Prototype Box

I decided to build one more prototype box and add a few devices I see myself working with on a regular basis. I enjoy making things like this as much as actual Arduino projects! The box is 2mm plywood, cut on my laser. I love the natural wood look!

The four devices across the top are already wired to the Mega 2560. I added a "legend" plate to the front. The two 5.5x2.1mm jacks on the side are for external 12v power, and to power something like a L298N motor controller. The switch to the right of the breadboard determines what supplies the breadboard power. External, via the side coax jack and a 3 amp buck converter, the Mega 2560, or neither if the switch is in the center position if needed.

Nice

now you need a library abstracting the components in the box

I put together a "starter" sketch that has everything needed for the joystick, piezo, rotary, & LCD. I'll start with a copy & remove what's not needed when I begin a new project.

that's a good way to do it too
