Conductivity Shield?

What's a good material that can be used as a conductance shield?

Tell us what you really want to do.
.

I have a capacitance sensor but have a cable running between the touch 'surface' and the sensor (/within the sensing range) which I would like to shield otherwise its triggering my sensor.

Shielded cable is common. Almost all audio cables (except for speaker cables) are shielded.

The issue is its actually a connection rather than a cable i.e. the end of the cable soldered to a joint.

In order to make it clearer, please post a clear photo.

These 3 connections (attached). Not soldered at the moment since its temporary.

If you want to make it work then solder them.

How is that photo related to your question?

It does work. Its just a temporary connection before I actually solder them. Those connections are between the sensor and the touch surface i.e. in the distance range that triggers the sensor.

The photograph that was asked for was supposed to show your capacitive sensor with the wires passing so we could tell what you are trying to do.

If any of those connectors came off you could blow one of your pixels.
