Connect MKR GPS shield directly to computer

Hello,

Is it possible to connect MKR GPS shield directly to computer without using any boards ? I found some USB to serial adaptors. If I am right which adaptor I need to buy ?

Thanks
Sam

Hello, @sam101 the module is meant to be used on top of boards in the MKR format. Other Boards may also be supported through the Eslov connector. The board can then communicate with the PC of course so you will still receive on the PC all the data.

Thanks @psousalima for the reply. I can understand but the reason that I want to directly connect it to the computer because I want MKR GPS to connect with U-blox u-center (u-center) software to look details of the GPS data

@sam101 it's possible to configure the shield with an Arduino MRK, in shield mode, and retrieve the raw data from the Serial port, and the device is recognized by the "u-center" software.
The software is of course not supported officially by Arduino

@psousalima thanks a lot.

So, you mean I can change Arduino MKR GPS default setting which uses UBX protocol using u-center after I connect both MKR GPS shield and MKR Wifi 1010 in shield mode ? Also , Is there any library in arduino IDE to do the same thing and to skip u-center software ?
