Connect to RTC on Arduino Uno

Hi,

I'm have an Adafruit Data logger shield(P1141) plugged into a Arduino Uno board and I know that this data logger has a RTC (PCF8523). I also have a MPL3115A2 sensor which uses the Analog 4 &5.

The circuit is:
3.3V -> VCC (MPL3115A2)
GND -> GND (MPL3115A2)
A4 -> SDA (MPL3115A2)
A5 -> SCL (MPL3115A2)
MISO->#12 (SPI)
SCK-> #13 (SPI)
MOSI-> #11 (SPI)

I also have a button battery for the RTC and a SD card.

The code works fine but it does not give me any time stamp. I found some information about it online but I have no idea what they are talking about: they have something called SS, CS, and CLK which I can not find on my board.

Are these related to the RTC ? and How can I make the connection with RTC so that I can see time on the SD card txt file?

Thank you in advance !

Yes, this is the sensor but the one that is on the data logger is on it, and I don't know where to plug the connections.

Well, first of all, help us help you by reading:

Then, please include a link to the "information" you found online, so we know what you're talking about.

And a link to the data logger shield you're using, would be nice, too.

The Adafruit page says the RTC is on the I2C bus, ie A4/A5. Normally with a shield you just plug it in,
all the connections are made...
