Hi, I have been experimenting with arduino over the past few months, and now I am trying to connect series lighting to the board using an external power supply. I want to be able to have control of the lighting to make various flashing patterns. Does anybody know how to do this?
Do You think about LED strips? Then select one that can address individual LEDs.

I was trying to connect the regular 5v series lights you can get at walmart or costco.
I have no idea what type that is. I don't go shopping in those stores.
Can you post technical data for that lighting so we do not have to guess exactly what you have? There are a lot of kinds of LED lighting.
