Connecting a windows tablet to a Arduino board through ethernet

Hello Everyone,
I need to connect an Arduino to a windows tablet. The tablet does not have an ethernet port. I want to use a micro USB to ethernet converter no the Tablet side and a mini USB or USB to ethernet converter at the Arduino side. And use this connection to transfer data from the Arduino to the Windows Tablet and I want to run the Processing software on the tablet to make some animation based on the received data from the Arduino. My question is that will this kind of communication protocol work? If so, can anyone give me some advice on how to do it?

Thanks.

So why not use WiFi?

Or just connect it over USB directly?
