For my project,i am using an Arduino nano which is being connected in serial with raspberry Pi through USB port. I am using around 8 sensors(DHT11;MQ6;MQ135;bmp180;LDR;LuX sensor;RFID module) and those are connected to Arduino nano.I am worried if these sensors draw too much current, will that spoil my raspberry Pi.
So power the Nano and the sensors with an external power supply, not the Pi. Especially the gas sensor heaters.
Read the datasheets of the sensors and note the current consumption of them. The worst consumers are radio or BT transmitters. Normal USB supplies 500 mA, not enough for transmitters as I've got it.
