Connecting LCD to MKR Wifi 1010 (power consumption etc.)

I'm planning to use an Arduino that can connect to the Internet and also can connect to an LCD screen (for instance a Geekcreit 2.8 inch TFT LCD or an LCD from Mcufriend etc.). It would also be good to know whether I would need to power the board (with an LCD connected and running) by cable or if batteries will be enough (the board should be connected to the Internet all the time but the screen can be turned off most of the time).

I've got hold of an MKR Wifi 1010. Is this board suitable for my project? Can an LCD (similar to one mentioned above) be easily connected to it? Do I need some sort of shield?
