Connecting multiple microcontrollers in one USB

Hello! We will be creating a project wherein we will be using 10 US-100 Ultrasonic Sensors, 10 servo motors, 2 DC motors, and 2 solenoids which is why we will be using multiple microcontrollers. Would it be possible to connect all those in order for it to be plugged in a computer in just one USB?

You can use a hub but that will give you different com ports for different controllers. But there are several other options:

  • A mega2560 probably has enough I/O's to suit your need with 1 controller
  • If you want to use several controllers you can use software serial to let the controllers communicate with each other and have only one connected by usb. If you have a program on the pc that communicates with your controller applications, it will only have to keep track of 1 com port
  • consider using Ethernet for multiple controllers
