Connecting two Arduino UNOs via USB

I would like to check with you guys if it is possible to connect two Arduino UNO boards via USB.

My intended application is as follows:

  • Board A will be powered via AC-to-DC converter.
  • Board B will be connected via USB to Board A.

My question is whether Board B will be able to draw power, be fully functional, and communicate with Board A just solely via USB?

Thank you!

Only if board A has a host shield, and a lot of overhead programming.

USB Host manual and site

usb serial coms are a complex set of protocols emulating a simple null modem

why not use softserial insteadarduino referencefor coms

and if you want a usb power source why not get a powered usb hub for that
