yes.
I didn't find any specs for the speaker impedance.
Two speakers in series would be OK because that doubles the impedance (half the current & half the power).
In parallel you'd get half the impedance and double the power. That's probably OK with 8-Ohm speakers because I didn't see any warning against using a 4-Ohm speaker. But two 4-Ohm speakers in parallel might over-stress it.
We have two 8 - ohm 1W speaker
I think that should work.
Two 8ohm speakers in parallel is ok. See the 8002 audio chip datasheet. Don't connect any speaker terminal to ground, because the integrated amp is working in bridge mode. You won't get true stereo sound this way though.
If you want true stereo, then use an external stereo amplifier, connected to the L/GND/R outputs of the DFPlayer. Look for "PAM8403" on ebay/Amazon.
