Connecting Type K Thermocouple & AD595 to Arduino

Hello,

I’ve connected the AD595 to Arduino according to the following schematics: http://www.arduino.cc/playground/Main/BBCCschematics

I connected (AD595 - Arduino)

  • pins 1, 4, 7, 13 - GND
  • pins 8,9 - Analog Pin 1
  • pin 11 - +5V
  • pin 1 - thermocouple +
  • pin 14 - thermocouple -

However, it does not work.

I’m a hardware newbie, so any help in connecting the AD595 correctly would be very much appreciated.
