Connecting Vibrating Mini Motor Disc to RFID Shield

Hi everyone!

I wanted to connect a Vibrating Mini Motor Disc to an RFID Shield and was wondering which connections I should use. Am I supposed to connect the red wire of the motor disc to a digital pin on the shield and the blue wired to ground? If I'm connecting the Arduino to my laptop, do I need to also include a resistor in series?

Attaching a motor to an RFID shield will achieve nothing

Attach the RFID reader to the Arduino
Attach the motor to the Arduino preferably via a relay or MOSFET
Use the Arduino to read the RFID input and output to the motor as appropriate.

If I'm connecting the Arduino to my laptop, do I need to also include a resistor in series?

If you mean connect it using USB then no.
