Connector kit suggestion

My goal is to connect a finger print scanner to an Arduino.
Just for reference, here is the manual.

In the hardware Interface section is this connector definition:

Connector: MX1.0--6P Thread:M25
Product external diameter: 28mm Inner diameter:23.5mm Height:19mm

The device has six wires and what looks like a pin connector. (Not sockets) The wires to appear to be spaced at 1 mm, but with my magnifying glass and older eyes, not positive.
When I google on that MX 1.0—6P phrase there are a number of hits. But, none of them seem to have the same connector name: MX1.0.

I wish to buy a kit with a crimper and a variety of pin and socket connectors. Or maybe just a good collection of pre-wired connectors.
Here is one, but its looks like all pins
Amazon.com: Keszoox Jst SH1.0mm Connector Kit and Premium Pre-Crimped Cables,for SPRacing F3 Omnibus F4 Pro F7 Racing Drone Wire Kit,Total 140pcs sh1.0 Connectors and 10 Colors 250pcs 28AWG Cable 150mm Wire : Electronics

Please recommend a connector kit that will match this. Amazon is great because of their fast delivery but anyplace else will be satisfactory.

You need to get the male, mating connector for that part - JST SH 1.0mm. That part it typically soldered to a PCB for this device to plug into.

The MX1.0 to JST SH connection is not obvious, not to me anyway. Here is a collection from Amazon.
Amazon.com: XINGYHENG 28Pcs 1.0mm 6P 7P 8P 9P Connection Plug with 15cm Terminal Connector Wire Cable for LED Light Strip 5.9’’ Compatible with JST SH (6P-9P) : Everything Else

Will the 6P-8PCS connect with what I have?

Edit: The page indicates pins, but when the cursor is hovered over the images it looks like sockets.

That kit has connectors that are identical to your sensor. You need the mating piece, i.e. housing with pins. Like I said previously, those parts are typically soldered to a board so sensors like yours just "plug in". Adafruit has sort of standardized their sensors on this - STEMMA QT / Qwiic JST SH.

OK, it has been pointed out you need the male counterpart.

They are available, but harder to find. And hard to work with if you aren’t just soldering it in place on a PCB that expects it to be.

I suggest you fearlessly cut off the odd and fiddley JST SH1.0mm female and wire any kind of connector you want on there.

I usually solder the ends of the wires to individual pins broken off a pin header meant for a bread box or UNO type gazinta.

Any signals that happen to be N adjacent pins can be rows of N pins so broken off.

Plus: no waiting on the supply chain. :expressionless:

I have tremors so crimping those tiny 1 mm pins will not work. I don't find a wired connector that mates with the device.
So,..., cut the cable in the middle, put individual pins on the device side, and sockets on the connector side. That will provide the ability to plug into the Arduino and to restore the cable to plug in to sockets for which it was originally designed.
Thank you for your time.
