Connector name?

What is the name of the type of connector for a 9 VDC wall adapter Please?
Also...Can anyone recommend a project box mountable 120 AC plug?

Thank You

"9V battery clip" or "9V Battery Snap Connector".

9V batt clip!
Generally 'PP3'.
'PP3', is also the general name of the battery.
I'm in the UK, so can't comment about other parts.

Try OKW for a sample mains trans enclosure.
Sorry with the above.

My mistake!

Do you mean the "barrel jack" connector?

Yes the barrel jack thank you  But also I need a regular AC power plug that can mount into a project box. I don;t think the standard ones from the hardware store will work well or look right.

I think we would be suspicious about exactly what you intend to do with this power plug?

I have a small aquarium pump that has no power switch of it's own. If power goes out for days, and it does, long story short it will flood my tank when power comes back on. However, if I just unplug it....when power does come back on there will be no aeration which is important for the fish to breath. My idea is to set up to plugs, one which will run a hidden aerator as soon as power returns. I don;t like that look normally and it sprays salt creep everywhere. The other plug will not turn the pump back on, and the aerator off, until I push a button. BTW I am an electrician so it is safe to trust me with 120VAC and receptacles. I just think the ones in the hardware store are way to big for my purpose.

OK, well if you want an actual plug, that is, power input, you use an "IEC" chassis plug and use it with an IEC cord. Now whilst ridiculously expensive in the shops (as is that linked plug), these cords are "a dime a dozen" second hand and in fact, I would be very surprised if you did not have a ton of them. And if you have (or go find - dead easy) a trashed computer, you have the chassis plug on the power supply.

That is almost exactly what I wanted but I need the female version that a standard 120 VAC plug would plug into so I can switch the pump that is plugged into it on and off. Your right about the price too. That is ridiculous.
