Continuous Rotation Servo

I purchased this servo a few weeks ago for a small project:

I'm not familiar with using servos with Arduino, but am I right in thinking that as this is a continuous rotation servo I cannot control the angle of it. For example I would not be able to programme it to rotate only 22degrees and stop?

I'm sure these questions are asked all the time, but any help would be greatly received.

That's correct; a continuous rotation ex-servo cannot be commanded to a specific displacement without additional hardware.

Thanks for your quick response, very helpful. Am I right in thinking just a standard servo such as this one: http://oomlout.co.uk/collections/extra-pieces/products/servo-standard-springrc-43032 would be capable of controlled rotation?

Yes.

Thanks guys.

would be capable of controlled rotation?

Be aware that most standard servos will only rotate about half a turn.
