Continuous Rotation Servos (And what others)??

Hi, I have been able to get 4 different servos that are already set up for continuous rotation, direct from the factory in China: http://arduino-direct.com/sunshop/index.php?l=product_list&c=10 Disclaimer: I would be making some money on these, but not a lot...

Question: What types / sizes of regular positioning servos would be most useful for Arduino and Robotics applications? I am trying to pick 2 or 3 at a good price VS capability. If anyone can suggest a well-known model number I can find an equivalent.

What other motor / motion control things are people looking for???

Thanks!

I would have thought a stepper-motor / controller / lead-screw / toothed-belt-pulley combination might be quite popular, especially if compatible with some of the 3D printer projects like RepRap. Having all the bits available at one place (motor, electronics and mechnical hardware) would be handy - one axis of movement at budget price for experimenters.

Thanks! The whole Mechatronics area is one I personally like; I built a 3-axis machine years ago driven by an IBM AT

I will put this on my list of things we are looking for in China… If anyone has pointers that would be helpful.

I have a couple of tiny cheap steppers here:

(There’s more data on them now…)

And here’s our Stepper Motor overview: http://arduino-info.wikispaces.com/StepperMotors

Maybe someone could design a cute little X-Y mechanism for < $10 ???
