Control a muscle tension belt to stay awake in class!

In short, anyone have an idea on how to control a muscle tension belt or similar, like the one in the link, with an Arduino? I don´t have a specific type yet, to the question is wether if anyone have done something like this before.

I would need to control on/off and effect.

The link is just to a general picture so you know what I am talking about.

Are you planning to wrap that around your neck?

Take more interesting classes, or stop partying all night.

I found that pinching the bridge of the nose, and caffeine, worked well enough. Not very hi-tech but effective. And cheaper.

Ok, a bit more details..

What I was thinking is to have the electrode either on the stomach or calves, and have it connected to an Arduino together with a heart rate sensor. The idea is that you will stay awake if your muscles are active enough to maintain a certain heart rate (if you stand up and walk around a bit, you wake up..) . I don´t know what this number is, but it wont be very hard to find out.

So you would first need to find a heart rate that would be your set value, and the Arduino would adjust the effect on the electrodes according to how low your heart rate gets compared to this set value.

An rotary encoder to adjust the set value, and a lcd to display it would also be a part of it.

Also coffee has it´s disadvantages like dehydration and frequent visits to the toilet. I don´t believe much in the effect of the muscle belts, but if the only risk is a potential six-pack, I think it´s a good solution
