Control iPhone camera with Arduino

I am making a photobooth. A button is hooked up to the arduino and I want the ardunio to be hooked up to the iPhone so that when the user presses the button, the iPhone shutter is triggered and it takes a photo. I have read I can hook the arduino up to the iPhone via it's headphone jack. I am wondering what library I should use for controlling the arduino and what wires exactly I will need. I have tried searching for a tutorial and even linking me to one would be fine! I am very happy / want to learn on my own but haven't been able to come up with much (the most promising lead from this forum led to a dead link, I emailed the person who's site it was hosted on but I would love to be finished with this project this week). Thanks for all your help it's greatly appreciated! :)
