Hi,
I have an Arduino Mega and a Meccanoid g15 ks. I used a motor shield to connect 6 of the smart servos. The Arduino lights went out and didn't come back on until I unplugged the servos. Obviously, it doesn't have enough amps to power them, so I want to control it through the MeccaBrain. To do this, I want to use an Arduino usb host shield and plug the brain into the shield and control it like that. The brain provides the power and the Arduino provides the signal. Will this work? I want to know before I buy it. Thanks in advance. I would also greatly appreciate code to do this if possible.
Servos need to be powered separately from an Arduino.
You need to post links to the datasheets for the parts you are using so we can see the details. You have not even told us how the project was powered when it did not work.

Hi,
How was the Meccanoid g15 ks powered originally?
That will give you an indication of what is required for power.
Tom...
Runs on 4 size C "piles", so I would want at least a 2 to 3 Amp power supply.
