Control multiple fluorescent lights with arduino relay

I will be setting up an array of fluorescent lights to control with an 8 relay switch. Any advice on how to do it the most effectively? I have controlled three lights in parrel on one switch and three on another once before. Many thanks

As long as the relays can handle the current, you can wire them any way you like…

Power (Watts) is Voltage x Current (Amps), so you can calculate current as Watts / Voltage. But, de-rate the relay’s current rating because (I think) the lamp will consume at least twice the operating-current at start-up.

What kind of fluorescent lights? Big ones with massive chokes? They count as highly inductive and you'll need to spec. the relays for that - snubbers probably required.
