Hello, we're having a thesis regarding garbage segregation. I'm wondering on how to stop the movement of conveyor when camera detected a garbage wastes. Is relay enough or we need another components for it. What we want to the camera is to take pictures of camera and then recognize the wastes.

I once worked as a 'quality control tester.' When the camera detected an unwanted item, they did not stop the conveyor. They used a 'diverter' to push that item off the conveyor. I hope this helps you.
I totally agree with this.
Start and stop continuously a conveyor motor is bad for motor itself and also from efficiency point of view it's not a good idea (during ramp-up motor current consumptions are greater)
