Hi I am working on a project where I need to control a electric switch ON AND OFF using Arduino from a long distance which is 100 + Km please help me in this regard

Some possible solutions is to use GSM or wi-fi, direct control over that distance is not practical / legal.

What arrangements will you have to ensure that you cannot accidentally electrocute someone or start a fire.
