controlling a fan

Hi,
I'm wanting to control one of these fans with an arduino. I managed to get one out of a HRV unit.

the data sheet here gives a few examples.

The PWM input example shows the supply voltage at 15V but i'd rather try to use the 10V line that the fan supplies.

Could anyone give me some pointers as to a circuit that i can get the correct 10V PWM to drive the fan speed

Just looking at the circuit again. Isn't the 10mA sink on 3 above the 1mA max in the spec?

Also i can't find any 2N3904 but i do have some BC547's. Presume they will be ok
